At 7.10AM today, the Straits Times announced that the coast was clear and the MRTs seemed to be functioning properly. Just 4 minutes later, a netizen at Pasir Ris MRT along the East West Line (EWL) put that illusion to rest.

A passenger smashed a Grab car with his hammer after losing his phone in the vehicle. He was angry that the driver waited at least 2 days before returning him the phone. According to the Grab driver, the man was on his way from Jurong to Bugis when he lost his phone in the car. The driver only found out later but was too occupied with his duties over the weekend. He tried messaging the man to tell him to collect it personally if he was in a rush. When they finally met, the man rushed towards his car and smashed it with a hammer. The commotion escalated into a fight at Geylang with the driver suffering minor injuries.

The body of a 26 year old man was found at Jurong Lake at 8.10am this morning. The SCDF were alerted to a floating body at the lake and sent two fire engines, fire bikes and a support vehicle to the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene in a case of unnatural death. Police are investigating the case.

A 9 year old primary 3 school female student in a Jurong area Primary school was poisoned after a male classmate poured dettol into her water bottle, hoping to poison her. The culprit poisoned the victim because he wanted to take revenge for another female friend after she was embroil in an argument with the victim. Before recess time ended, the boy went back to the classroom and poured a bottle of dettol into the victim's water bottle. After the girl returned from her PE session, she gulped down water from her laced bottle without realising it was poisoned. After 20 minutes, she started to run a fever and vomitted twice.

It was not so long ago that, after years of prolonged and protracted discussions, that government was able to push the Customs,Immigration,and Qurantine (CIQ) centre at Tanjong Pager to Woodlands for better inspection and security.Therefore for the same reasons, is'nt it better for HSR to stop at our CIQ at Tuas.

Fire at 402 jurong west st 42 smoke was coming out from a unit. a police cordon was set-up

I work in the Tuas area, the rain is very heavy now and many roads experiencing ponding now! the water all muddy colour. traffic is very slow moving. if you check PUB twitter, it reports that there is a high flood risk. Do not travel in that direction if you can help it.
