GRAB DRIVER RETURN LOST PHONE, GOT ATTACKED WITH HAMMER INSTEAD

A passenger smashed a Grab car with his hammer after losing his phone in the vehicle. He was angry that the driver waited at least 2 days before returning him the phone. According to the Grab driver, the man was on his way from Jurong to Bugis when he lost his phone in the car. The driver only found out later but was too occupied with his duties over the weekend. He tried messaging the man to tell him to collect it personally if he was in a rush. When they finally met, the man rushed towards his car and smashed it with a hammer. The commotion escalated into a fight at Geylang with the driver suffering minor injuries.

BODY OF 26 YR OLD MAN FOUND FLOATING AT JURONG LAKE

The body of a 26 year old man was found at Jurong Lake at 8.10am this morning. The SCDF were alerted to a floating body at the lake and sent two fire engines, fire bikes and a support vehicle to the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene in a case of unnatural death. Police are investigating the case.

PRIMARY 3 STUDENT IN JURONG POISONED CLASSMATE BY PUTTING DETTOL IN HER WATER BOTTLE

A 9 year old primary 3 school female student in a Jurong area Primary school was poisoned after a male classmate poured dettol into her water bottle, hoping to poison her. The culprit poisoned the victim because he wanted to take revenge for another female friend after she was embroil in an argument with the victim. Before recess time ended, the boy went back to the classroom and poured a bottle of dettol into the victim's water bottle. After the girl returned from her PE session, she gulped down water from her laced bottle without realising it was poisoned. After 20 minutes, she started to run a fever and vomitted twice.

NETIZENS RIDICULE IMM’S DO NOT STEP SIGNS ON FALSE CEILING

Following the unfortunate demise of a teenager at Orchard Central, who fell to his death following a stunt gone wrong, the management at IMM, a mall in Jurong, came fast and some say too furiously. Signs advising mall goers to avoid stepping on false ceilings and extended portions of mall space on the various floors have appeared, seemingly to warn mall goers for their own safety.

The HSR is going to stop in our heartland at Jurong. Is this a wise move? Is there a particular reason for doing so?
