FOUR SIM LIM SQUARE CHEATING SALESMEN JAILED BETWEEN 4 TO 14 MONTHS

On 14 October 2015, District Judge Toh Yung Cheong sentenced four employees of the now-defunct Sim Lim square electronics shop Mobile Air to between 4 and 14 months jail for cheating unsuspecting customers. Koh Guan Seng was sentenced to 14 months jail, Kam Kok Keong to 11 months' jail, Kelvin Lim Zhi Wei to four months' jail, and Lim Hong Ching sentenced to six months' jail.

ACCOMPLICES REVEAL HOW JOVER CHEW TAUGHT SALESMEN TO CHEAT CUSTOMERS

Koh Guan Seng, 38; Kam Kok Keong, 31; Lim Hong Ching, 34; and Kelvin Lim Zhi Wei, 32, were in court today to face up to their charges for cheating tourists at notorious I.T. mall Sim Lim Square today. POLICE CALLED IN TO DISPUTE BETWEEN JOVER CHEW AND HIS WIFE

Police had to be called into over a dispute between 33 year-old Jover Chew, the infamous owner of handphone chop shop Mobile Air, and his wife Winnie Koh yesterday night. According to Shin Min Daily, 32 year-old Ms Koh continues to live with Chew despite telling reporters that she had left him in May. However, on Sunday night, she returned home and found that Chew had changed the number on their house's digital lock.

JOVER CHEW FACES 26 CHARGES OF CHEATING AND ABETMENT

Chew Chiew Loon Jover was slapped with 26 charges today - 24 for abetment by conspiracy to cheat, 1 for cheating and 1 for criminal intimidation. He had scammed a total of 25 victims at his Sim Lim Square shop, Mobile Air, and the total amount cheated was measured at an estimated $14,449.

JOVER CHEW ARRIVES IN COURT TO FACE CHARGES

Jover Chew and 3 other men arrived at the Courts today to face charges for a series of cheating cases. Police received several reports in 2014 against the Mobile Air owner and his employees for dishonest sales practices. Customers say they had been duped into buying handphones and in-house warranties at over the top prices. Those who wanted to cancel their deals even had to pay fees of up to hundreds of Singapore dollars.
