DESPERATE LOANSHARK RUNNER DROVE OFF WHILE POLICEMAN WAS HANGING ON TO CAR DOOR

The police had spotted him in his car during his loan shark runner stint, and had asked him to step out of his car. Instead of stepping out, he continued driving, causing one police officer, who was holding his car door, to lose his footing and fall to the ground. The officer, who suffered superficial injuries, and his partner continued chasing after Zhou. While trying to flee, Zhou slammed his car into the bumper and sides of two other nearby cars. It was revealed in court that Zhou became a loandshark runner after he could not pay off his debts owned to a loanshark known as Dominique, and he has been working for Dominique since December 2015.

ENGINEER GETS JAIL FOR CAUSING DEATH OF SPEEDING BIKER

An engineer gets 10 days' jail and 5-year driving ban for causing a motorcyclist's death, even though the motorcyclist had been speeding in excess of 100km/hr on a main road. The man, S.N. Vasutavan, 69, made an illegal left turn from the centre lane of a road into a side road, resulting in a collision with a motorcyclist who subsequently died from multiple injuries.
