Singapore Daniel De Costa was selected by American grassroots to perform a Jewish ceremony and deliver a short message for the global Peaceful Warrior Day before inauguration.

During Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Singapore on Monday (20 February 2017), Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong urged Israel and Palestine to resume direct negotiations so as to achieve a long lasting and just solution to their decades long conflict. Lee added that Singapore was good friends with Israel and Palestine and wished for peace and security to both peoples.

PM Lee Hsien Loong should seriously review its relationship with Israel. We hold the innate view that Singapore should continue its neutrality, befitting to humanistic principles, towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict without the need to break existing bilateral ties with the State of Israel. On that note, we applaud our government’s effort and diplomatic engagement in finding ways to seek a peaceful resolution to the ongoing Palestinian occupation. We acknowledge our relationship with Israel spanned from the time our armed forces was in its foundation stage. However, we should not turn a blind eye to Israel’s unacceptable conduct and stance with regards to its Palestinian Occupation.

Like many Singaporeans, I am shocked by and disagree with the Singapore government's decision to name the museum in the old Ford Motor Factory as the "Syonan Gallery" and am disappointed at the insensitivity shown in the decision. Similarly, I also share reservations about the existing policy by MINDEF about certain roles and appointments and Malay servicemen.

Soon after insulting the sensivities of a majority of Singaporeans with their SYONAN Debacle the PAP continues to insult us by hosting and honouring a WAR CRIMINAL in the next couple of days. This murderer of men, women and children who hails from a country that has poisoned the minds of Singapore leaders to regard our neighbours, especially those up north, as our sworn enemies. It is also due to this poison that Malays are being discriminated and our loyalty to this nation being questioned for the past 5 decades. It is also due to this that we have to allocate billions and billions of dollars of our hard earned money year after to face imaginary enemies.

According to one of our readers, a netizen by the name of Dean Said has threatened to "cause havoc" when Israel prime minister Netanyahu makes a visit to Singapore tomorrow.

To be inclusive, we certainly dont need to go iftar at Israel's Embassy. It's like accepting an invitation from someone who killed your family members just to show we are an inclusive society. Unless of coz we dont feel anything at all for the millions that the zionist regime had killed. Dont use the excuse of being inclusive to hide and confuse it with carrying favours. Or in another crude word, membodek.

While there is never an excuse to use a country's flag for a few table cloth, the response on here is nothing short or bigoted racism. I guess Singaporeans aren't as polite as they tell the world they are.

The Embassy of Israel in Singapore apologised for the deplorable behaviour of a junior diplomat who misused a Singapore flag as a table cloth during an outdoor party at The Levelz condominium along Farrer Road. The Embassy announced “It was appalled to learn of deplorable behaviour displayed by one of its junior staff members and expresses its sincere apologies...The Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed that requisite strong disciplinary procedure will be adopted against the individual"
