Former MP Irene Ng has come up with a brilliant idea to resolve the FamiLEE dispute by asking for 38 Oxley Rd to be demolished NOW. "I believe that as long as the core issue remains – what to do with the house – and as long as the house stands, the saga will not end. It will be a running sore. The Lee family will continue to suffer, and we will not be spared... To end the saga now by demolishing the house, all parties involved have to pay a price... Demolish the house, end the saga now, and let's all move on."

PAP MP FOR TAMPINES IRENE NG STEPS DOWN

Ms Irene Ng, a member of the People's Action Party team for Tampines Group Representative Constituency (GRC), has announced that she will not be running the upcoming general elections. The 3 term member of parliament (MP), said that she had asked Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong some time last year if she could step down for the sake of party leadership renewal.

LTA DENIED PAP MP’S REQUEST FOR 8-YEARS

What piques me is the fact that Ms Ng had lobbied, unsuccessfully, for eight years for a direct bus to ferry residents of Tampines Changkat to the only wet market in the neighbourhood and, in the end, she had to get a private operator to step in to provide this service. It was reported that the Land Transport Authority (LTA) found that this service was not viable.
