Did LHL Incur Indonesia’s Wrath?? Indonesia’s Vice President taunts Singapore. Indonesian Ministers insult Singapore Ministers. Indonesia ignores what Singapore says. LHL is keeping quiet so as not to be further embarrassed by Indonesia. This is bad! What did LHL do to incur such Indonesian wrath?

It was reported that NEA is going after 4 Indonesian and a Singapore company for causing the haze. The Singapore company is Asia Pulp & Paper Company Limited. I spent $5.50 to buy the company profile from ACRA, to my amazement, the share holders were missing from the Company Profile provided by ACRA.

According to NEA, haze over Singapore on Thursday, 24 Sep 2015, 9am is 197. This borders in the very unhealthy range. Singaporeans have been suffering the haze problem for more than 10years. Vivian Bala is impotent when negotiating with Indonesia’s Environment Minister. Shanmugam is impotent when talking with Indonesia’s Foreign Minister. It’s during an international crisis that true leadership shows.Singaporeans are suffering because of lack of leadership shown by PAP leaders.

While speaking to Indonesians in New York yesterday, Indonesian Vice-President Jusuf Kalla declared that Indonesia need not apologize to neighboring countries over the haze problem, repeating his now infamous comments about regional neighbors Malaysia and Singapore.

Haze conditions in Singapore have worsened today as winds blew denser haze from Sumatra to the island. As at 9AM today, the 24 hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) stood at 183, which falls within the unhealthy range of 159 - 194. The 3-hourly PSI stood at 197.

Singaporeans have been suffering haze for the last 10 years and more. It is obviously Indonesia’s fault. But Hsien Loong lacks the stature to influence Indonesia’s President to do the right thing. And because of this poor stature, Singaporeans continue to suffer the haze. Would Lee Kuan Yew have allowed this to happen to Singaporeans? I doubt so. LKY would have torn Indonesian President to bits and pieces.

Indonesia has once again declined Singapore's offer to help fight the haze-causing fires. Indonesia's Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar said that Indonesia is trying to handle the situation on its own.

In an interview with the Jakarta Post, Indonesian forestry expert Herry Purnomo echoed the thoughts of several of his colleagues when he called on Singapore and Malaysia to take more responsibility to fight the haze in the region. He says that both countries should be more responsible as the forest fires were caused by companies owned by their citizens.

Indonesian police today announced that they had arrested a 21-year-old male student, Ilham, from a private university in Banten after he was traced for sending a bomb threat to Singapore Airlines (SIA). Ilham was arrested yesterday at his home in the Baleria housing complex in Tangerang, Banten. This comes less than a week after he sent the bomb threat to SIA on 1st July.
