An angry reader who repeatedly wrote in to The Straits Times about choping seats in Singapore claimed his letters were never published. He sent us his post instead as he really wanted to get his message across - that it is fine to chop seats in Singapore, be it using "human choping" or "tissue choping".

Some taxi drivers have complained that Grab forced them to accept jobs and warned them against ignoring offers. One of them even had his account put on hold unless he accepts all jobs. Is this fair, given that they have to allocate some of their earnings to Grab?

On Singapore 50th National Day, I was with my wife and 2.5 years old son to enjoy the silver jubilee of Singapore 50th Birthday. I board the MRT at 4pm at Clark Quay Station and one Pinoy lady was sitting at the reserved seat. As she was looking at her handphone, I kindly requested if she could give up her seat for my wife and son but she pretend not to hear me. I repeated it 3 more times and she continued to ignore me.
