SINGAPORE ARMED FORCES TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO FIGHT TERRORISM IN PHILIPPINES
The Singapore Armed Forces will be giving assistance to the Philippines to help them counter terrorism threats in Marawi. This comes after a meeting with the Philippines' Secretary of National Defense. Minister of Defence Ng Eng Hen said Singapore will provide humanitarian supplies, transport aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, etc. Both of them look forward to work together to combat terrorism so that ISIS-linked networks do not set up bases in Marawi and launch future attacks in the region.

Groups here have raised more than $1 million for relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, where more than 1,800 people have died since Israel launched an offensive nearly a month ago. One of these is a Muslim charity, the Religious and Educational League of Radin Mas (Bapa), which has raised over half a million dollars, or more than five times its original target of $100,000.
