HDB ASKS OWNER TO SHUT TODDLERS UP IN HER OWN HOME

I feel disturbed that the occupant opposite my unit made a nasty complaint to HDB that my two toddlers and their grandparent are noisy during the day. The complaint alleged that the talking from the grandparent to the toddlers and from the toddlers causes noise nuisance.

A Muslim couple may lose their Housing & Development Board flat by 30 June if they cannot find the money to pay $414, the equivalent of 3 months rental. The husband works as a pest controller and earns $1000 before CPF deduction. His wife stays at home to look after the children.

However, about two months later, in a parliamentary reply (4 April) – “From 2014 to 2016, about 100 single unwed parents under the age of 35 appealed to buy a flat with their children and without other family members. Over the same period, about 300 single unwed parents under the age of 35 appealed to rent a flat from HDB with their children. For both types of appeals, HDB approved about one-fifth of the cases.

HDB FORCING SINGLE MUM & KIDS TO WORK TO MEET PAYMENT DEMANDS

I am a single mum of a dropout kid who has to work alongside me as HDB refuses to grant our 3 room flat at Greenview if we're unable to meet their changing demands. I'm already working 2 jobs with high blood pressure and only having 3 hours of sleep daily just to ensure I have a roof over my head.
