KIDS’ PARENTS DON’T WANT TO MEET ROY NGERNG

I've read his interpretation of the sequence of events on his blog, and I don't agree with some of his explanations," said Madam Aun, 55. The protesters, for one thing, did not move away upon realising the performers were on stage, she said. The performance had to be re-started when the children, shocked by the rowdy crowd, faltered before the protesters left. Mr Teo also apologised on Facebook to the YMCA: "The protesters were going after me but it affected the children and the event. For this I feel sorry and would apologise to YMCA and the children for this inconvenience caused because of my presence."

THOUSANDS OF DONORS DEMAND ROY NGERNG RETURN THEIR DONATIONS

The donors, who initially gave willingly to Ngerng to shield him from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s legal advances, said they did not expect their money to be used for unruly means and intimidation. HONG LIM PARK FRACAS: RALLY LEADERS DEFEND ACTIONS

Non-Constituency MP Yee Jenn Jong, who is from the Workers' Party, posted a clip of a previous performance by special needs teenagers on Facebook, saying: "I can't imagine how anyone can jeer at any of them, whatever the cause they may be fighting for." But Mr Ngerng held his ground, describing the protesters' action as "the most ground-breaking protest in Singapore since 1965" on his blog.

EX-ST REPORTER BERTHA HENSON: TEO SER LUCK SHOULD HAVE STOOD UP AND BLASTED THE HECKLING PROTESTORS

Some pretty lame comments by Teo Ser Luck about the HLP farce in Suntimes - how we should all have "a listening ear'' and things could have been done in a more "friendly manner''. I would have rather he stood up and blasted the hecklers on-site. If he thinks that would escalate things, at least blast them post-event! On this occasion, I think the majority of the population would have applauded him for being tough on the hecklers.

YMCA SINGAPORE: WE HAVE RESERVED THIS DATE IN HONG LIM PARK SINCE APRIL!

Regarding the concerns raised by Ms Han Hui Hui, we would like to note the following:1) YMCA is a voluntary welfare organisation and is the organiser of YMCA Proms @ the Park. This activity has been organised annually since 2007. We do not represent any grassroots organisation. 2) We also have not made changes to any plans. 3) We applied to National Parks for permission to use Hong Lim Park in December 2013 and were given permission in April 2014 to hold the event on 27th September 2014.

PAP GRASSROOT HOOLIGANS PLANS TO DISRUPT CPF PROTEST

I need you to bring your families and friends to HLP on 27 Sep 4pm. Their (PAP) grassroots will have 5000 people coming to HLP this Sat. Yesterday, a map which shows the route of the march this Sat was being released. I went to collect the banner for our stage at 5pm today, whistles, vanguard and markers are bought too. When I reached HLP to meet up with the contractor to finalise everything, three tents were being built to block the path of our march.

GILBERT GOH: 10 REASONS WHY SINGAPOREANS ARE NOT CELEBRATING NATIONAL DAY!

Bad timing – the timing of the event close to dinner time also puts many people off as some families have dinner gathering and people just watch the snippets on news later. Opposition getting stronger – as celebrating national day is seen as a pro-PAP event these days, many pro-opposition people are turning away from the event on TV and celebrate it in their own quiet way with friends.

PINOY LADY UNHAPPY WITH DISPLAY OF PALESTINIAN FLAGS DURING PEACEFUL GAZA GATHERING

I would like to register my displeasure and regret to MHA for the organizer & speakers having blatantly displaying the Palestinian flag during their protest which is breaching the rules of the licensing conditions. I would like to say that I find the act of these people most hypocritical as, if you had remembered, there was a previous outpouring of scorn when organizers of the Philippine Independence Day had intended to celebrate it in Ngee Ann City along with a flag raising ceremony.
