THIS HONEST COMFORT TAXI DRIVER IS AN ASSET & NEEDS TO BE GIVEN RECOGNITION

I boarded a taxi (SHD4175L) from my area to Satay by the bay for dinner. After alighting from the taxi, my son forgot his iphone and only realized it after we finished our dinner. I called my son's iphone and tried tracking his phone with an app. The taxi driver, Mr Ong Tek Wee answered the phone acknowledging that my son's phone is with him. He asked if I was still at where he dropped me off and offered to drive down to pass me the phone, plus send me home. I was so impressed by his action and knowing he is nowhere near satay by the bay, i insisted for him to switch the meter on and charge me since I don't want him to lose any income.

MARKET FISHMONGER SPENDS HOURS FINDING WOMAN TO RETURN HER LOST WALLET

What a day. What started out as a simple errand run turned into a cross-island merry-go-round involving a lost wallet in Bendemeer, a police report at Towner Road, multiple stops in Tiong Bahru, and finally a pickup at Bukit Panjang. Suffice to say, a wonderful family, in the form of Cindy, her husband Ah Huat, and their son, had found my lost wallet, waited 45 min for me to show up at the hawker centre where I'd left it, decided to deliver it to my home, waited another half an hour for me to show up, left their card, and waited at home for me to finally reach mine and call them.

HONEST SMRT BUS DRIVER WATCHED OVER LOST LAPTOP & RETURNED IT TO OWNER

According to the bus uncle, he was monitoring the unattended laptop for awhile. When a middle aged man allegedly tried to take my laptop after noticing it, he knew something was up. The man was seated at the back of the bus and came to the front once to survey the surroundings, and the second time, to take my laptop before attempting to alight. Mr Ramasamy recalled that the man was not holding anything when he boarded the bus and so he asked the man if the laptop was his. The man was unable to answer as to what brand the laptop was and even came up with a lame excuse on the pretext that he was taking the laptop to the police station. Mr Ramasamy did not let him alight, and even threatened to call the police if he did not hand the laptop to him.
