SINGAPORE DUO FINISHED IN THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE DART WORLD CUP

By now, the news will be all over the papers and other media, that Singapore's duo at the World Cup of Darts have made history for us by reaching the quarter finals of the tournament. Although they eventually lost to the Belgium eight seeds, to have reached this far in the tournament certainly was not expected. They had beaten the top seeds in this tournament, the pair from Scotland, and had also overcame Spain, to reach the last eight of the tournament. Before this, no one in Singapore has probably heard of Paul Lim and Harith Lim, but after their heroics in the tournament, they will now come back home to Singapore to a hero's welcome. Wonder which Minister will be waiting for them when they return home. Will also be interesting what the Minister will say about the duo. Very sure nobody even knew there was a World Cup of Darts, much less one where a Singapore team was participating in, and manaegd a quarter final finish.

SHAME ON S’POREANS WHO DO NOT SUPPORT AMOS YEE & ROY NGERNG

I find it a disgraceful act that we as Singaporeans do not support our own heroes. People like Roy Ngerng and Amos Yee, our countrymen who have the guts to stand up for Singaporeans are now being fixed by the cowardly government but I still see brainwashed Singaporeans slamming their actions. Humanity is universal and it saddens me more when the people from Taiwan and Hong Kong can see the atrocities being committed here against Roy and Amos while our own blood are still blinded from the truth.

TKPS STUDENT: TEACHER TERRENCE & GHAZI WERE SAFE BUT CHOSE TO GO BACK UP FOR OTHERS

Emyr's father, Mr Sadri paid tribute to the teachers for their selfless acts. He said: "They went two or three miles, helping them, shielding them, taking the hits, even with a broken skull and bones, they still brought them down 7 kilometres in blocked paths." Sadri also revealed that for the late Mr Terrence, he helped a bunch of students before going up for others. This was also the case for the missing Mr Ghazi who helped some of the kids and went back up again. Sadri said that both Mr Terrence and Mr Ghazi are the real heroes.

OSMAN & HARUN: WHY WERE THE BOMBERS OF MACDONALD HOUSE HEROES?

Indonesia's decision to name a warship after two Indonesian marines / convicted terrorists has raised some interesting questions on how we should honour the memories and actions of the past. Indonesia stated that naming the ships after war heroes is an internal matter, which other countries should not interfere in. (In 1968, after Singapore executed them, Suharto declared the Marines national heroes and awarded them the Bintang Sakti, the highest military decoration.) The big question to me is why they are considered heroes, so I set out to dig a little deeper into what really happened 50 years ago.
