CRANE THAT WAS BEING TRANSPORTED HITS CTE CEILING, DRIVER ARRESTED

This afternoon (Dec 5), a 63 year-old man was driving a heavy vehicle when the crane it was transporting hit the ceiling of the Central Expressway tunnel (CTE). The man was arrested. It is likely that the accident took place because the crane was not stowed properly. The accident took place at the CTE tunnel (towards SLE) at Upper Cross Street Entrance. The accident caused the Upper Cross Street entrance to the CTE to be closed.

I would like to share this to seek the mutual understanding between E-bikers, cyclists and other road users, especially heavy vehicles. Firstly, why are we riding such bicycles or scooters on the roads is because we need it to commute. Not everyone is fortunate enough to afford a bus ride. I think that more understand is needed from these road users, if we aren't fortunate enough to afford a simple and cheapest bus ride, let alone having a car.
