With regards to the post earlier that support has been gathered to ban heavy vehicles from the CBD during peak hours, I have a strong opinion to make.

I am writing this with the intention of getting more signatures to submit a successful petition to our PM Lee Hsien Loong, so far I have about 1000 supports from motorists in Singapore to ban heavy vehicles like buses from CBD during peak hours.

45% of foreigners causing accidents driving a heavy vehicle is worrying enough. Do they know Singapore's road rules and regulations enough? Do they actually know the norms of drivers using Singapore roads? They might be licenced, but experience driving in Singapore is different from driving in any other countries. Should these foreigners be allowed to drive heavy vehicles in the first place?

This afternoon (Dec 5), a 63 year-old man was driving a heavy vehicle when the crane it was transporting hit the ceiling of the Central Expressway tunnel (CTE). The man was arrested. It is likely that the accident took place because the crane was not stowed properly. The accident took place at the CTE tunnel (towards SLE) at Upper Cross Street Entrance. The accident caused the Upper Cross Street entrance to the CTE to be closed.

I would like to share this to seek the mutual understanding between E-bikers, cyclists and other road users, especially heavy vehicles. Firstly, why are we riding such bicycles or scooters on the roads is because we need it to commute. Not everyone is fortunate enough to afford a bus ride. I think that more understand is needed from these road users, if we aren't fortunate enough to afford a simple and cheapest bus ride, let alone having a car.

I want to raise awareness to all road users regarding such road accidents. As we know, there are many e-bikes on the roads now and people are now buying e-bikes and these riders are too reckless, often cutting through path on other big and heavy vehicles

A 59 year old female cyclist was killed on the spot when a cement mixer failed to stop and ran over her in Yishun. She was cycling with two other women across a pedestrian crossing when the tragedy struck. This happened at the T-junction of Yishun Ave 9.

A mother and her daughter were on their way home one evening but almost met with a devastating tragedy. At about 8PM on Tuesday night, 33 year-old Debbie, her daughter, her sister-in-law and her children were walking along Admiralty Drive, a stretch of road that is close to Canberra Primary School, when suddenly, her sister-in-law realized that her handphone was missing.
