2 YEAR OLD PRESCHOOLER DIAGNOSED WITH TB AFTER TEACHER TESTED POSITIVE FOR ACTIVE TB

A two year old child attending Bridges Montessori preschool in Punggol has been diagnosed with latent tuberculosis (TB). Earlier this month, a trainee teacher had tested positive for the disease. It appeared that the new trainee teacher had cleared the medical examination in her home country. It was only after a pre-employment screening in Singapore that the teacher was diagnosed with active TB.

SDP APPLIES TO JURONG TOWN COUNCIL TO HOLD HEALTH SCREENING IN BUKIT BATOK

The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) would like to organise a health screening day for residents of Bukit Batok. We would therefore like to apply for a permit to use the basketball pavilion beside Block 210, Bukit Batok East Avenue 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 30 April, 2016. With qualified doctors and nurses, we will conduct screening for blood pressure and blood glucose levels on that day.
