ANGRY PIONEER GENERATION: I AM DISGUSTED WITH THE MONEY-MINDED PAP GOVERNMENT

I am a senior citizen who is writing not just to express my sheer disdain of the pap government and its pretense of "looking after" the elderly but also to dispel the notion that seniors such as myself only rely on news from mainstream media which is totally untrue. We also read hard copies of "The Hammer" and alternative news sites like yours too. I was recently coerced into selling my 5 room back to HDB which I had purchased in earlier years as I am in frail health now after suffering a stroke due to stress and genuinely cannot afford remaining payments of the mortgage. HDB threatened to repossess my flat if I am still unable to sell it in the open market which only solves half my problem.

RESIDENT COMPLAINTS ABOUT POTENTIAL “KILLER LITTER” IN JURONG FALLS ON DEAF EARS

This family living on the 10th floor of Jurong West Blk 551 have been hanging their unsecured bamboo poles out on the window ledge for many years. Recently, they even placed potted plant on the window ledge. These dangerous practice has been going on for years. Despite my many emails to the Jurong town council and HDB to do something about these dangerous act, no action has been taken.

RESIDENT HANGS LAUNDRY OUT OF HDB WINDOW, NO BRAINS OR WHAT?

I saw this ridiculous image shared showing resident hanging their laundry out of their windows! This is not the designated area to hang their bamboo poles out but they did anyway. this is putting other residents life at risk.!!! What if a child or old folk is downstairs when the poles drop on them? Can you be responsible for their injury or maybe death?

CENTRALE 8 DBSS FLATS OF POOR QUALITY, RESIDENTS DEMAND EXTRA YEAR OF WARRANTY

After residents moved into their new DBSS flats in Centrale 8 at Tampines in June last year, they were upset to discover the poor quality of their premium flats. Some of them have even gone online to announce their unhappiness about the defects in their flats. Meanwhile, a group has also spoken the media and say that they hope the developer, Sim Lian Group, can extend the one-year period warranty, which obligates the developer to rectify any defects in the units. Some also want cash compensation.

HDB: BTO FLAT DEFECTS SPOTTED BY OWNERS ARE EASY TO FIX

According to the Housing Development Board, despite the multitude of complaints about new BTO flats, they only received about one reported defect per unit in recent years. The HDB spokesperson added that these defects are easily rectified and do not affected the safety and structural integrity of the flat.

HDB DEPLOYS NEW ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE TO DEAL WITH MOTORISTS WHO PARK ILLEGALLY

The Housing Development Board has launched a new wave of mobile enforcement vehicles, which are designed to patrol car parks in the many HDB estates throughout Singapore to weed out errant motorists who take up season parking lots without valid parking passes. The new initiative is intended to reduce enforcement agencies' reliance on manpower, and enforcement officers have already been spotted making their rounds in car parks in their new vehicle.
