INDIAN TENANT REFUSED TO GIVE UP RENTED HOUSE EVEN WHEN OWNER OFFERED COMPENSATION

I found this Indian senior consultant IT guy who wants to rent it . He bargained for it and I decided to rent out 1200 for the whole unit to him and his gf (from Laos). She is here on holiday. We signed a contract for 2 months. I printed out the standard template agreement from ERA and let him sign. There was no agent involved. I did it myself. By right on the 10th (couple of days from now) he is supposed to start his tenancy, my housing agent then told me he found a buyer for me already and also then told me actually it's not legal to rent my place for less than 6 months in Singapore. All these I didn't know because it's the first time I am renting short term for my HDB. I don't wanna do something illegal either. I quickly told my Indian tenant I cannot rent to him anymore and was willing to return him his money immediately but he was very unhappy and wants me to compensate him at least 600 to 700 dollars (or possibly more) for inconvenience and if i don't comply to his amount of money he will go to legal department and HDB to complain about me. He was very aggressive towards me.

This morning, comes news of a HDB flat on fire. A fire broke out at a HDB unit at Block 338, Ubi Avenue 1, at around 11.20am today. 15 residents had been evacuated, and the fire was believed to involve the contents of a bedroom. HARD TO SLEEP WHEN UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOUR EXERCISE LATE INTO THE NIGHT !

We Singaporeans are so used to having people living above and below us in our HDB estates. Most of us have stayed in HDB flats our entire lives. Am sure that once a while, we will hear our neighbours knocking walls, moving stuff or doing some drilling works at one time or another. And we all learn to live with it, as the inconvenience will only last for a day or two. But what if you have an upstairs neighbour who treats his house like a gym? This happens every night! And the noise is just irritating, especially as it happens at night, when you are trying to sleep. What should I do?

RENTERS TURNED MY PARENTS’ HDB FLAT INTO A BACKPACKERS HOSTEL!

Property agents please take note on these two indian EP holders. They rent my parents HDB rooms and tenancy started last wednesday, 06/07/2016. Yesterday, 10/06/2016, we spot check and caught 4 ang mohs, seems to be backpackers in our house. There are bras and panties hanging as laundries inside our house too. Mattress were layed all over the living room too and we have every right to suspect they turned the house into backpackers hostel.
