RACIST HAWKER AT ALEXANDER FOOD VILLAGE REFUSES TO SERVE INDIAN CUSTOMERS

I went to have my dinner with my family on Sunday the 6th of March 2016. When it came to my turn, the order taker bypassed me and went to the guy behind me to take his order. When the man behind me mentioned that it was my turn and not his, the order taker remarked in Mandarin to ignore me. At this instance the guy cooking in the stall shouted that they are not keen to serve and asked me to get lost. I was totally at a lost of words. When another Indian guy went to order food the stall owners again totally ignored him and he too walked away. It's plain simple that they were racist and refused sevice to non Chinese.

RACIST PRC LADY: MALAY PPL ARE DISGUSTING & MAKE ME LOSE APPETITE

I saw this outrageous racist weibo post by a PRC bitch living in Singapore. She posted a photo taken at the hawker center with a few malay ladies wearing tudung seated nearby. This racist babi commented that she feel polluted being surrounded by people who cover their heads with cheap head cloth. It makes whatever she is eating feel not nice and disgusting. She cannot stand the sight of so having so many malays around her.

GIANT SUPERVISOR THINKS I’M TRYING TO CHEAT HIM WHEN I WANTED REFUND FOR SPOILT RICE

Bought a packet of Kangaroo calrose rice at the Giant outlet opposite of Redhill MRT. When I picked up the top pack, there was a whiff of rotten smell. The counter lady told me there has been a rotten smell since the morning and suspected that could be dead rats from outside the store. When I went for my cheng teng at the hawker centre, I thought my fingers smelt weird, like faeces. I checked the back of the rice packet and saw brown stains and on closer inspection, the rice in the packet looks mouldy. The supervisor checked the rice and asked me how many days since I bought the rice to which I produced the receipt and the counter lady also told him that I bought it 10 mins ago. He then told me that he will certainly refund me and made comments that how could the rice turn out this way and why did I even bring it for payment in the first place. He then asked me to follow him to rice aisle and brought up a few packets to show me that their rice are in okay condition to which I replied that it could be the only one and all I want is a refund.

I went to [email protected] Panjang Plaza. The stall name that I patronised is JELEBU MEE HOON KUEH and I bought a bowl of "Ah Ma Mee Hoon Kueh". OUT OF TOUCH POLICYMAKERS ARE DESTROYING SINGAPORE’S HAWKER FOOD CULTURE

This is disgustingly preposterous. Transient executives running the new hawker centres build for and by public monies with not very well thought out goals and aims are dimming the lights on our already fading public hawker food culture. It is good the govt is building new hawker centres to keep this failth alive, but not so good they are going the fill-in-the-form route for pte management companies and hawkers.. allowing it to fester, with no cogent guidelines that seeds the future of street food culture here.

His stall is simple – just a few styrofoam boxes with live crabs in them. His work day is long, starting at 4am and ending at night around 8pm. Welcome to Singapore’s Future Economy. VIVIAN BALAKRISHNAN: HAWKER CENTRE RENTAL IS CHEAP

I believe that hawker centres are a unique feature of life in Singapore - where everyone can eat and socialise in an informal unpretentious place with affordable & delicious local food. There have always been questions about rental rates. The reality is that rentals constitute a small fraction of the overall cost of running a hawker stall. The major cost drivers are actually ingredients and manpower.
