TOA PAYOH HAWKER CENTRE FLOODED WITH WASTE WATER, NO COMMENTS FROM PAP TOWN COUNCIL YET

On Wednesday morning, four stalls in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 hawker centre were affected by a blocked pipe, which caused waste water to flood the stall premises.

IMPOSE FINE ON THOSE WHO CHOPE TABLES, NO TISSUE OR UMBRELLAS PLEASE!

A forummer suggested to impose a fine on those who chope tables! He thinks people should not claim the whole table for themselves especially if they are only part of a small group. He said those who do so should pay a fine of about $1,000.

He disagreed with those who use tissue packets, umbrellas or their staff pass to chope tables as he thinks someone should be physically there to reserve seats.

He said hawker centres can put up signs to warn people that there will be a fine. While he knows this is not exactly the best way to change people's behaviour, he thinks imposing a fine is the most immediate and effective method.

Do you think this is a fine idea?

BEAUTY WORLD HAWKER TOLD TO CLOSE BY 11 FEB WITH NO REASONS GIVEN

No reason was also given to the hawkers on why the stalls have to be closed by then. The hawker centre at Beuaty World Centre is not managed by NEA, but the authorities should help shed some light on what is happening. This involves the livelihood of people, and whether the hawker centre is managed by private business or government, they cannot just instruct people to wind up their business with no valid reason.
