NTUC PLACED CHICKEN WITH ONLY PART OF HALAL WORD ON PRICE TAG, NO MUIS HALAL LOGO

I went to the Halal section for chicken, intending to buy some chicken drumsticks. Imagine my surprise when on one of the chicken sold, there was no Halal logo sticker from MUIS. Instead, there is just a printed halal on the price tag. Even then, the words did not completely spell halal. Instead, it was (hal. So is this chicken meat halal or not? If not, understand it might be a mistake from your staff placing it there. But why then is there part of the word Halal on the price tag? There's a huge difference between printing the word halal and having the logo which is accredited by MUIS.

MCDONALDS S’PORE: ONLY HALAL BIRTHDAY CAKES ARE ALLOWED IN OUR FOOD OUTLETS

Due to the recent news of McDonalds Malaysia banning non-halal birthday cakes on their premises, McDonalds spokesman Faz Hussen has clarified on the issue to the local mainstream news. Mr Hussen said that although McDonalds does not allow outside food on their premises, birthday cakes are an exception. However, birthday cakes brought into the premises have to been halal certified and this practice has been in place since McDonalds received their halal certification in 1992.

MAN UPSET AFTER COUPLE ATE BBQ PORK IN MUSLIM SECTION @ NEWTON HAWKER CENTRE

Over the weekend, myself and a few of my muslim friends was having dinner at Newton food centre. We were having Halal BBQ seafoods. During the dinner, I saw a couple was queuing up to buy BBQ suckling pig from this stall named "THE PIG STOP". After buying, They brought the foods to the muslim section and sit right beside us. As a result, my muslim friends was feeling very uncomfortable. In the end, we decided to move further away. Just hope that we can respect and be more sensitive towards each other religion in future to prevent such incident from happening again.

STOP BEING HALAL CERT EXTREMISTS, USE OUR AKAL & COMMON SENSE INSTEAD

Not all products require a Halal certification to be Halal for human consumption. You want to have Halal certified boobs for breast milk is it? Or Halal certified water treatment plants and piping for Halal tap water? Your mother must call MUIS to certify her kitchen before you eat her food is it? If you want to go along the extreme line of only buying food with Halal Certification or from a place with Halal certification then how to shop at NTUC Fairprice, Sheng Siong, Prime, Giant or Cold Storage because they all sell alcohol and pork? Let us all please use our akal and common sense. You do not need a certificate to tell you that the food they make is Halal.

DO NOT ASSUME ALL STALLS AT MR TEH TARIK ARE HALAL OR MUSLIM-OWNED

This Korean stall at Mr Teh Tarek Tampines has only the MUIS Halal Logo but without the MUIS Halal Certificate. When asked, the staff said "Don't know." Another stall selling laksa has no MUIS halal logo and cert. When asked, the staff said, "The whole place is halal." MUIS is now investigating. DO NOT ASSUME that all stalls at Mr Teh Tarek are either MUIS Halal Certified or 100% Muslim-owned.

MINCED PORK PLACED WITH HALAL CHICKEN AT TAMPINES GIANT: LAZY OR SABOTAGE?

A shopper at Tampines Giant alerted fellow netizens to a case of minced pork being placed together with halal minced chicken on the shelves. According to another who responded, they said occasionally you will see something like this and he believe someone is trying to discredit Giant or someone who have attitude problems with Muslims. I CAN’T EVEN FEED MY BABY AT HALAL FOODCOURT ENCIK TAN

I love halal food. I definately respect that no pork n no lard in halal food. But since we can eat in the same food court here in sg, what's the big deal if i m feeding my lo in his own dinning set? This is the 1st time i got told off for feeding my lo. I was extremely unhappy about it. Even McDonald's or any other HALAL makan place don't chase us off for feeding our lo. Moreover i m not using ur bowl/plate to feed.
