DOGS ARE NOT HARAM, WE MALAY-MUSLIMS SHOULD ADOPT DOGS & GIVE THEM LOVE TOO

I love this picture so much. Why? Because it's so iconoclastic. It destroys the image that no dogs should exist in the world of Malay-Muslims. We've been told since young how 'unclean' dogs are when in fact, the Quran (the central text in our faith) permits us to eat food caught by hunting dogs!!! So with all the contact made by a hunting dog (rubbing, biting, clawing), the food is STILL halal!

S'POREAN MUSLIM MAN PRAISES PENANG CULTURE STAFF FOR TAKING HALAL CERT SERIOUSLY

I was at Jem's Penang Culture with my family and would like to commend their staff for their observance of their Halal certificate. As a Chinese Muslim family we naturally look Chinese, and the staff was concerned about us putting my baby's food in their baby bowls. He said it was not allowed as it is a Halal-certified restaurant (he's not even Malay, but appears to be a Filipino). I assured him that I'm Muslim and the food, prepared at home, is Halal, but also thanked him for being careful and thorough.

POTLUCK IFTAR DINNER ORGANISED BY RC MUST BE HALAL & TREATED WITH DECORUM

Having a potluck Iftar event is acceptable. In fact it is very much encouraged in Islam to share foods with others, what more during Iftar. However, the inclusion of non-halal foods in the Iftar could have been an oversight on the part of the event organisers. Appropriate advice should have been given earlier.
Iftar is not just another dinner. Iftar has its special meaning to Muslims, and there is decorum associated with that special meaning.

NTUC PLACED CHICKEN WITH ONLY PART OF HALAL WORD ON PRICE TAG, NO MUIS HALAL LOGO

I went to the Halal section for chicken, intending to buy some chicken drumsticks.

Imagine my surprise when on one of the chicken sold, there was no Halal logo sticker from MUIS. Instead, there is just a printed halal on the price tag. Even then, the words did not completely spell halal. Instead, it was (hal. So is this chicken meat halal or not? If not, understand it might be a mistake from your staff placing it there. But why then is there part of the word Halal on the price tag?

There's a huge difference between printing the word halal and having the logo which is accredited by MUIS.
