GRAB & UBERX ARE OVERRATED, BETTER EARNINGS AS A TAXI DRIVER

Many people have asked me which is better, driving a taxi or going with Grabcar or UberX. I have done all three and can safely say hands down, driving a taxi is still the best earner. You may have to pass that irritating taxi license test but you still earn more. Let me break it down for you.

However I did not manage to get a taxi at that certain timing which is around 10+ in the morning, so the app prompted me to try Grab car instead. As this was my second time booking Grab Car, the first time fare was $24 and the uncle did prompted me the amount before setting off, I suppose that each and everytime the range should not differ that much. However, I was very wrong at the end of my second trip with Grab Car...

KIND HEARTED GRABCAR DRIVER RUSHED MY SICK CHILD TO KKH & REFUSED MY FARE

Today we had to rush our boy to KK due to high fever, and came this kind soul from Grab whom patiently brought us to our destination safely. We were so touched by his care and concern about our son throughout the journey. Were really grateful for his high sense of morality. Reached KK and he quickly opened the door for my son and wife, and what really surprised us that he don't want to accept the fare. We then insist so much as he is making a living and we can afford it, but he just declined even more. He left with saying "Treat this as an angbao for your baby, and may he get well soon with great health."

Really tired of taxi driver who drives Comfort/Citicab etc. nowadays very hard to get a taxi on the road side. They would purposely put 'on call' and drives aimlessly just because they want that extra $2 - $3 booking fees, and everytime you ride on these taxis they keep on complaining they cannot make money etc, if you guys aren't choosy for destinations and greed for that extra booking fee, you could have make enough money. That is why now I boycott Comfort/Citicab etc. as much as possible, unless no choice.

GRABCAR DRIVER NEARLY KILLED ME WITH HIS RECKLESS DRIVING

I called for a grabcar from marina square to Tanjong Rhu. It was supposed to only take 7-10 min max instead the journey took 40 minutes. But my biggest complain is regarding his reckless driving. A couple of distressing incidences that happened throughout the journey. I am deeply saddened by this traumatizing incident by this particular grabcar driver. GRABCAR FARES GONE CRAZY: ANG MO KIO TO YISHUN NORTHPOINT COST $23

I gave been using Grabcar for months but I noticed over the last few weeks, the fare indicated via the app seems to have gone crazy and haywired. The most ridiculous instance was a trip from Ang Mo Kio to Yishun Northpoint, Grabcar wanted to charge me $23 for this short trip. With such pricing Grabcar doesn't seem like a good economical choice anymore. Taking the regular taxis or Uber would make more monetary sense.
