GRAB RIDER REFUSE TO ALIGHT AT DESTINATION COZ SHE DIDN’T KEY IN PROMO CODE BEFORE THE RIDE

This rider refuses to alight after she has reached the destination, citing the fact that the driver swiped "drop off" before she can enter her promo code, supposedly valued at $15, making her liable to pay the promotional value difference from her own pocket. This is total unfounded. Grab periodically gives out promo codes to attract demand. Riders are supposed to key in the promo code before the ride and not during or after. In the video, she demanded the driver to ask the Grab corporate support to call her as she wants to make a complaint. When consumers are upset about a service or product, you complain by calling in and not demand for someone to ask the service provider to call you instead.

GRABCAR DRIVER REFUSED TO FETCH MY BIRD CAGES & CHEATED MY $8 PROMO FARE

I book a grabcar this evening and when the driver arrived and saw me with 2 bird cages, he immediately rejected my trip. After that I told him that he need to cancel the booking as he was the one who rejected then he told me ok he'll cancel immediately. But after less than half a minute, I received an email of a receipt that I've reached the place and I found from the receipt that he had deducted my promo of $8. It's not the issue with the promo code but is the issue that the driver is dishonest.

GRABCAR REFUSE TO PAY DRIVER INCENTIVES EVEN THO SOFTWARE GLITCH IS THEIR FAULT

Grabcar changed backend software, probably accounting software. Technical issue arose for the week (18th Apr 2016 to 24th Apr 2016) & because of the change, I fell victim to the error, my case as follows: - Driver app shows 85.3% acceptance rate & I stopped driving (eligible for incentives, >85%) - Grab Back-end system shows 84.55% Acceptance rate (ineligible for incentives, <85%) Any grab drivers would have agreed that incentives are the main reason why we are on their platform, & we always strive to hit their ratings. (Makes no sense that i would see a 84.55% on my phone and actually stopped driving) Nevertheless, Grab Singapore strongly insists on not giving out incentives even though they admit a technical issue was present & hundreds of drivers are affected.

UBER & GRABCAR TO FACE NEW REGULATIONS, DRIVERS TO STUDY FOR VOCATIONAL LICENSE

Industry sources familiar with LTA's plans to regulate the private car hire industry revealed that Uber and Grabcar drivers may soon be required to have a vocational license. This licensed can be attained through a 10 hour long training programme. In comparison, taxi drivers face a 60 hour taxi driver vocational license course. If this regulatory framework is implemented, Singapore will join a slew of other countries like Australia to regulate an industry that has been accused of competing unfairly with taxis.
