Today ten paper manufacturers have declared that they do not use products from five companies in Indonesia alleged to have contributed to the haze. More such declarations are needed for consumers to make conscious decision when purchasing paper and palm oil related products. If there is anyway to stop the haze, consumers must take the lead in refusing to buy such products; but this can only be done if companies are pressured to declare that their products do not harm our environment.

After reading so much about CPF monies not being used to save lives when there is true need, especially in healthcare, I really wonder if it is because these people do not trust the govt, their MP or the system in the first place to ask for the needed help and assume that there is none.

I need to get this off my chest. I DESPISE all civil servants who vote for the ruling party, just because they say it's for their job, it's for their future blah blah blah... To them, I say: Grow a pair of balls. Wait, even better, grow a spine because you're sorely missing one.

I am not against the government or any parties. I am only concern about Singapore citizens and the older generation as more older people will lost their jobs. In my opinion, the government MUST concern the citizens and their job first before others. Singaporeans is the roots of Singapore and we need to protect many job and industry for the Singaporean.

According to the Straits Times news report ”GE2015: PM Lee launches PAP slogan ‘with you, for you, for Singapore’, and manifesto” (Aug 29) – “Mr Chong, 62, took aim at opposition parties for being evasive. By contrast, the PAP has been transparent, open, and “where we have fallen short, we have taken decisive action to right our wrongs”, he said.” Since we are talking about “has been transparent, open” – why can’t the Government be transparent and open about the following:

The NEW PAP, is not in it for THE PEOPLE. If their salaries doesn't tell you what they are in it for, nothing else will. Today, it is not about YOU and I. It is only about YOU and I when elections are around the corner. It is about THEM. It is about GDPs because that's what their bonuses are tied to. Bonuses? For a government servant? For an elected official? Now, that is Uniquely Singapore. You reward yourself with my tax money, WITHOUT asking me first.

Will Singapore die if PAP loses support from Singaporeans in GE 2015? When PAP loses power. Singapore wont die immediately, maybe after a few years. If people votes for Lousy Candidates from the Opposition without understanding, Singapore will soon die.

Despite the almost daily deluge of complaints about Singapore on social media – 74 per cent of a sample of voters surveyed recently say that they are satisfied with their life in Singapore. Asked about the Government’s performance since the 2011 General Election – 64 per cent said it was “good” or “very good”, 23 per cent felt it was “okay” and 10 per cent said it was “not so good or poor”.
