JASON CHEE CLINCHES FIRST GOLD, CANCER AND NO LIMBS BE DAMNED

Congratulations to brave Singaporean hero Jason Chee, who has just won his first individual gold medal at the Asean Para Games on Friday in table tennis.

Jason was diagnosed with choroidal melanoma (a cancer of the eye) in late April, which resulted in him losing his right eye. Previously, he had already lost both his legs, left arm and three fingers on his right hand due to a mishap which happened during his work on board a Republic of Singapore Navy warship in 2012.

So instead of focusing on why Singapore lost the table tennis, Singapore’s journalists find a need to put Singaporean guys down. Instead of saying that we paid those table tennis players millions of dollars and they lost, the journalists chose to put Singaporean guys down for not responding to him.
