OPPOSITION PARTIES SHOULD SPEAK UP FOR THE CONCERNS OF NEW CITIZENS

In my view, some opposition parties inflicted a lot of damage on themselves when they went on vocally against immigration. At the forum, I made one suggestion which I have never heard anyone else make before. I said opposition parties should begin to speak up for the concerns of new citizens; if possible find one or two as candidates.

S’POREAN MUSLIMS NEGOTIATION POWER HAS WEAKENED AFTER 69.9% VICTORY FOR PAP GOVT?

Shortly after the last general elections, I discussed voting decisions with some Muslims who voted for the PAP. Interestingly, these Muslims justified their vote for the party as though it would benefit Muslims. Basically, they argue that it is better to support the devil you know. And since this devil may perform better in other areas (such as economic development), then we should support them.

GILBERT GOH: OFFICIAL COMPLAINT TO U.N. REGARDING UNFAIR ELECTION PRACTICES

I want to formally lodge a complaint to the United Nations for our country’s recently-held general election. Many opposition parties suffered from bad losses – right down to the unprecedented 20s percentile mark.

But excuse me, ironically aren't you yourself who voted for PAP as well?

I AM THE 30% WHO VOTED AGAINST PAP, I DID IT FOR SINGAPORE’S FUTURE

My dear newly elected PAP government, my ballot number is #1147, I voted in Tampines GRC, and I'm among the 30% nation-wide that didn't vote for you yesterday. Trust us, you say. We are our own checks, you say. Yes, the 30% may trust you, but we have cops and auditors in this world, for good reason. If you start reining in your own dominance, then us 30% can actually start voting for the best candidate/s. How to start? You know how. It's only whether you want to curb yourself, or not.
