Anyway, my take is that a lot of people gamble because it is the only “hope” for them. They see no “hope” in their jobs in the future. They see no “hope” in their lifestyle in the future, as the cost of living keeps rising (most expensive city in the world, The Economist).

My husband-to-be is an addictive gambler, help me. Normally he bets on 4D, ToTo, but it's not a small amount. One bet can be up to $50. Just got back and found gambling dens on the street. CCTVs here seem to function as mere placebos.
