COVID19: Sheng Siong Supermarket “Spoils Market” for NTUC FairPrice

Sheng Siong supermarket is truly impressive. After announcing an additional one month salary for its employees, it went around neighbourhoods silently giving donations at wakes out of kindness. This is setting the bar way too high for competitor NTUC FairPrice supermarket which is already being accused of raising its prices during COVID-19.

STUDENT ASKS TO SKIP LECTURE AFTER GRANDMA DIES, TEACHER INSISTS TO SEE EVIDENCE OF DEATH

A student informed his lecturer that his grandmother passed away and needed to excuse himself from lectures. Instead of offering her condolences, the lecturer replied "this is no excuse" and demanded to see proof that his grandma had indeed passed away. He took leave is simply because that hosting the wake is the last thing that he could do for his beloved Wife.

I remembered very clearly on that Sunday night, Low Thia Khiang dropped by unannounced alone. For the record, we did not know him personally. Mr Low paid his respects to my ah ma, signed the condolence book and spent an hour plus talking to my family. No media, no reporters around at all. Just himself. This is what I call sincerity, and for that we are extremely grateful. He wasn't wayang-ing or trying to score publicity points unlike so many other PAP MPs.
