BATCHES OF WASH-N-TOSS SALAD RECALLED DUE TO SALMONELLA

According to an alert by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) today, selected batches of Wash N Toss salad have been recalled due to Salmonella contamination. Customers who purchased packets with the batch codes 29116, 48103, 85121, 27864, 29472, 13362, 11925, 51226 and 59462 should discard it. These packages have the expiry date of 14th Feb and contain the following mix of vegetables - watercress, sorrel, baby cos, baby spinach, salad mix, wild rocket and kale.

My sister bought a packet of Vietnam produce Japanese sweet potatoes from Giant supermarket. she steam it after a few days. 1st day she ate some n keep the balance in the fridge. The following day she took out to warm up in the microwave n she discovered the Colour of the sweet potatoes turn light green n as it rest longer the Color turn to darker green.

FILIPINO FOREIGN TALENT CLAIMS CHRISTIANS CANNOT EAT HALAL FOOD?

On a forum, I see a post about a filipino foreign talent comment on the Singapore Carls Junior facebook page. He ask a really funny question on whether the burger was halal and nxt said that as Christian he cannot eat halal food. I wonder how true is this teaching? Are christians forbidden to eat food that was prayed or blessed by other religions? With more foreigners coming into singapore, I hope more sensibility will be put to this area. Hoping this is not true or it be hard for friends to eat together in future.

WORMS FOUND IN THOMSON MEDICAL CONFINEMENT SOUP

I came home this evening and found my wife crying. I asked her what happened and she showed me this. Apparently we had ordered confinement food delivery via Thomson Medical. This evening after drinking her soup, my wife realized there were foreign objects inside the soup. I have just lodged a complain to National Environment Agency and I hope you can help me share this to alert all other mothers who are currently taking their confinement meals. Please check carefully before you take your food.

DISGUSTING WORM IN MY CENTURY SQUARE FOOD JUNCTION KOREAN BIMBIMBAP

My colleague take away korean food for me at Century Square Food Junction just now for lunch, it was the korean bimbimbap dish. Only after eating half way, I discovered a fat worm hidden in the rice. Luckily it was dead and not alive, otherwise I would have vomit the food out. Look out before you eat if you buy from the Korea stall in Century Square Food Junction.

A few days ago, you shared a story about an elderly uncle who regularly begs for food in Ang Mo Kio. Various social outlets have tracked him down and visited him at his home. Family members told volunteers that the uncle holds a full time job but gambles regularly. He has 2 children, a daughter and a son, both gives him a regular allowance. The family is doing well and have rejected any form of social assistance. They disapprove of him begging for food but he continues to do it.
