FOOD COURT MANAGER CHASED US OUT BECAUSE WE ONLY BUY HOT WATER TO DRINK

This incident happened today 30 December at 2.45pm. We were walking around People's Park Complex. As i was wheeling my elderly auntie, she was tired so we decided to stopped by a small eatery to have a drink. I went to the drinks counter and asked politely can i buy a glass of hot water as i was having some medication. Some random guy in their coffeeshop uniform ( malaysian ) said they CANNOT SELL HOT WATER TO ME cause I did not order any food from their stall.. Fine, went to our seat. Five minutes later, one of them came by and chase us away..

WORM FOUND IN BRINJAL FROM YONG TAU FU STALL AT RAFFLES CITY FOOD COURT

Seems like nowadays more and more people are finding worms in their food. Just last month some worms and maggots were found in a MacDonald's breakfast set and McSpicy burger, and this afternoon, another Stomper found a worm in his brinjal bought from the Yong Tau Fu stall at the Raffles City food court today. When the stall was alerted to the worm, they only refunded the price of the brinjal - $0.70. The Stomper advices all vegetable lovers to be cautious while eating, as the brinjal looked perfectly fine on the outside.

ROWDY DEBT COLLECTORS MESS UP HAWKER STALL AT FUNAN FOODCOURT IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

The usually quiet Funan DigitaLife Mall's foodcourt played host to a ruckus scene when debt collectors paid a visit to a stall, causing a mess and wreaking havoc in their bid to force the owner to pay up $21,000 in debt. According to The New Paper, the floor of the Chinese soup stall was littered with empty bowls, styrofoam boxes, a rice cooker and a cash register, while debt collectors threw extra condiments into a pot of soup.

NOW $5 IS BARELY ENOUGH FOR A MEAL AT THE HAWKER CENTRE

The Chinese media recently published an article reporting public concerns that one can barely get a meal at hawker centres for $5 these days, due to inflation. In response to media interviews, members of the public said that $5 is required for a meal nowadays. But this amount is only enough to buy meals at hawker centres, and not at food courts.

4 YR OLD BOY DIES AFTER EATING CONTAMINATED FOOD AT NORTHPOINT KOPITIAM FOODCOURT

A four-year-old boy died four days after eating contaminated food bought from a nasi padang stall at a food court, a coroner's court heard. Shayne Sujith Balasubraamaniam, together with his mother and two-year-old sister, came down with food poisoning on Jan 19 this year, a day after his mother had bought food, including tahu goreng and curry chicken, from a nasi padang stall at Kopitiam food court at Northpoint Shopping Centre.
