The only Singaporean, 18 year-old Megan Loy, who was hurt in the Taiwan Water Park blast last weekend (27th June) was on a graduation trip with her friends. She had gone to the party expecting to have a good time, but ended up with 50% burns on her body - she is currently fighting for her life in an intensive care unit at Shuang Ho hospital in New Taipei CIty.

SINGAPOREAN AMONG HUNDREDS HURT IN TAIWAN WATER PARK BLAZE
A 21 year-old Singaporean student, surnamed Loy, was among the 500 over people who were left burnt and injured after flammable party powder ignited a crowd of revelers at a Taiwan Water Park. According to the Singapore trade office in Taipei, the student had been injured in the blaze at the Formosa Fun Coast Water Park in New Taipei City, adding that their officials have been in touch with the family to render assistance.

At least 472 people, with about 100 of them injured seriously, were sent to hospital yesterday after flammable powder ignited and caused a huge explosion in mid-air at a water theme park in Taiwan. At about 8.30PM, the flammable powder was sprayed into the air as part of a show at Formosa Fun Coast, but for unknown reasons caught fire and exploded.
