GRAB DRIVER CLAIMS COMPANY IS NOT DRIVER FRIENDLY, REFUSES TO ANSWER CALLS

I'm a part time grab driver and I have been driving for about 6 months now. I am writing in to express my unhappiness in regards to being a grab driver. I drove for uber for a period of time too but have stopped after awhile due to some reasons which I will come to later. Before I start, I want to highlight that I have been writing in to grab and feedbacking to them via their hotline but so far nothing has been done. Unpleasant comments on your Facebook page is deleted and pm's are not replied too. Your turnover rate in the company is incredibly high. Not many employees stay in the company more than 6 months. WORKERS’ PARTY TAKES FEEDBACK, REMOVES DIVIDERS FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS

Eunos Grove (Blk 611-618, Bedok Reservoir Road) has hosted two beautiful archway entrances to the estate for more than 10 years now. Recently, an elderly gentleman stopped me on my estate rounds and asked me if I could do him a favour. He said he had seen a fair number of wheelchair bound residents getting themselves wet in rainy weather, in spite of the large archway between Blk 615 and Blk 616 offering what appears to be ample shelter. The problem was the presence of two dividers which require a wheelchair bound person to negotiate, exposing them to the rain. The elderly man asked me if I could get the Aljunied Hougang Town Council to do something about this. I have been monitoring this area for the last month or so since works were completed and swing by every now and then to look for the elderly gentleman whose feedback has made a meaningful difference to some residents who ply the area often enough. I have not met him as yet. The Town Council will proceed to cut a pathway through the second archway that connects Blk 617 and Blk 614 in due course.

TALK KHAW SING SONG: HDB HAS ZERO DEFECTS IN NEW BTO, ONLY SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS

New Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan has taken the art of TKSS, better known as talk-khawk-sing-song, to a higher level when he warned there would be teething issues for Downtown Line 2 after it starts operation this Sunday. HDB has a serious issue with accountability – it completely washes its hands off every project after buyers have paid up. Pasir Ris One and other Design and Build flats speak volumes of HDB’s irresponsible attitude. HDB is not taking flat buyers’ feedback seriously by downplaying defects (hairline cracks, scratches, uneven joints) and redefining them as “surface imperfections”.
