COVID19: Singapore Currently Facing Oversupply of Eggs

When Malaysia announced its lockdown in March, Singaporeans rushed to supermarkets to stock up on eggs and shelves were empty in no time. Prices of eggs started to increase slightly due to border restrictions. Fast forward 3 months, Malaysia is out of lockdown and has resumed their supply. Eggs are flowing into Singapore from Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and recently Poland. At the same time, demand from F&B dropped. As a result, egg suppliers find themselves having too many eggs, some having to discard as many as 250k eggs.

18 Y.O. TRAUMATIZED AFTER COLLEAGUE MOLESTS HIM DURING MASSAGE

An 18 year-old boy was molested by a former colleague in the toilet of the hotel where he worked at. He became so affected by the incident that he stopped work shortly after the incident. The 35 year-old Malaysian culprit, Uthaiya Ravinanthan Ramalingam, was sentenced to 9 months jail and 3 strokes of the cane. He was accompanied in court by his wife.

One company owner has decided to take action against a Facebook netizen for allegedly defaming her store. On 2nd May, "Jaslin Larissa Tan" posted a complaint about Tamper and Co Singapore. Jaslin said that there were rats and other unhygienic practices by staff at the store. This posting was discovered by an owner of Tamper and Co Singapore, who tried to reach out to the netizen.

MOE JC TEACHER JAILED FOR SEX WITH 14 YR OLD BOY HE MET ON FB

A junior college teacher who engaged in sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy he befriended on Facebook was jailed for 25 months yesterday. Physics teacher Paul Tan Sze Aik, 37, admitted to three charges with three other offences, including having obscene films, taken into consideration during sentencing.
