A netizen, Allie, shared her account of getting stranded during the recent MRT service disruption without any taxi or private hire vehicles willing to take her to her workplace in Joo Koon.

On 13 November 2016, the 35-year-old woman informed the police that while she was shopping at Bukit Panjang Plaza with her 5-year-old son in a pram, an unknown man tried to abduct her son by pushing the pram away. She further informed the Police that the man fled after she managed to intervene.
