We cannot expect citizens to be disadvantaged in the name of being open or soliciting for trade. Foreign corporations and investors are more than welcome to operate here when they respect our core values and labour laws, play their part as they would in their home countries as Singapore and Singaporeans are not third country people to be taken for a ride.

Today during afternoon, i was shopping at NTUC Fairprice at tampines blk 476, saw this PRC cleaner (in green t shirt) helping to sell mandarin oranges to customers. I recognized him doing his cleaning duties in this outlet as i frequent here for shopping.

MOM and perhaps MinLaw need to get their act together. It is ridiculous for a decent honest worker to be denied his pay for 9 months, and at the end of this to be told to sort things out himself.

Our hourly rate has been decreasing like every two to three months since last year. From the original of $7.50 per hr to the current $4.50 per hr which will start rolling out next week based on another email we received from them today. No explanation. Nothing. Shifts got reduced.
