Now that government is raising the price of everything, McDonald's also raise its food price! When I ordered a Filet O Fish this morning, I was told it cost $3.50. This is $1 more expensive than the day before when I ordered it!

The fifth NEWater plabt was officially opened today at Changi. Based on the reports, the opening of the fifth plant can now meet 40% of Singapore's water needs. This would mean that Singapore would have to rely less and less on the Linggiu Reservoir in Johor. However, since NEWater plants means that water will be treated and re-treated to make sure that it is safe for consumption, that means the cost for maintaining the plants will be quite high. Will this high cost then be passed on to the consumers?

Now that the CNY period is almost upon us, it seems like food prices have suddenly shot up. Go to the market and even supermarket, all prices of food stuff have gone up. This happens every year, nothing new. But will prices go back down to the level they were at before CNY period? Or will it stay high, then next year CNY, increase again?

HDB flats are so expensive now, that if you are a middle income earner with a family to support, and even if both husband and wife are working like most Singaporeans are now, it still would not be enough to pay for your HDB house.
