A private Facebook group Singapore Expats with over 16.5K members has recently been under fire by some netizens. According to complaints sent to All Singapore Stuff, the group has seen an increasing war of words between foreign expats and locals.

Singapore's cost of living has fallen for expatriates living here, says a report by ECA International. According to the report, Singapore now ranks 24th in the list of locations most expensive for expats, as compared to 18th last year. This is the first time Singapore has fallen out of the 20 top ranking position.

I'm starting to wonder if there is any quality food in Singapore. Is mass-market food so poor, because the locals are unwilling or unable to pay for better? A day after a new cost-of-living index released by the Economist Intelligence Unit dubbed Singapore the costliest city globally, Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam downplayed the results by saying they did not quite reflect average Singaporeans’ ability to meet daily living expenses.
