She was inspired by Monica Baey's courage and thought that she should speak out to let the public know that these incidents are common. In her case, the man was let off because there was not enough evidence. Up till now, she is still traumatized by the event as the man was her good friend. BIKE VANDALS FILMING THEIR ACTS HELPING AUTHORITIES NAB THEM

However, in view of many such cases happening, the fight against those people who misuse the service is getting intensified. The best thing is, the fight against these people are getting help from the culprits themselves. These people not only vandalise the bikes, but to reach a level of infamy, they would take photos or videos of them in the act of vandalising the bikes. These will be used by them as bragging rights, where post online will ensure their act have proof to go with it.

But it is exactly these photos and videos that are helping authorities identify the culprits. They don't realise it, but their need for online fame is helping put a guilty sign on their heads. Hopefully, these people will continue to film themselves committing such acts, if they choose to destroy what isn't theirs.

That way, they can gain the notoriety they crave, and possibly get their just deserts too.

FATHER OF DETAINED WOMAN REGRETS NOT REPORTING HER, ASK OTHERS TO BE ALERT

The father of the first woman who was detained under the ISA has expressed regret for not reporting her to the authorities. Mr Manaf did not seek help as he thought his daughter was getting better after she started watching movies and stopped wearing the niqab - a full veil that only leaves the eyes visible. He said she was good at hiding whatever she was doing.

It was only until she was called up for investigations did he realise that she got worse. Mr Manaf also regrets throwing away his daughter's documents which detailed her plans to move to Syria. He said he did that out of frustration and disgust. Now that he regrets it, he is encouraging other people who face similar problems to alert the authorities or the Religious Rehabilitation Group once they notice suspicious changes in someone.

AUTHORITIES MAY TAKE ACTION AGAINST FAMILY OF DETAINED WOMAN

Authorities may take action against a family member of the detained woman, Syaikhah Izzah Zarah Al Ansari, for destroying important evidence on her plans to join ISIS. The family member attempted to erase the evidence after she was put under investigation. This comes even though they were against ISIS and did not support her radical ideas.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said "The Government takes a serious view of the withholding of information that is pertinent to the safety and security of Singapore and Singaporeans... This is especially so if the failure to report leads to violent activities that would kill or cause harm to others".
