Government Warns Landlords Against Improper Eviction Of Home Tenants, As 30,000 PRCs Yet To Return To SG

Most believe that the decision by landlords to evict tenants and why the government has issued warning against doing such things was because as Minister Josephine Teo said, there were still 30,000 PRCs work pass holders based in Singapore that has not returned back to Singapore ever since the virus broke out. So, any move to evict these high numbers would represent a huge problem of homelessness that the Government would not want to face.

COUPLE WITH 5 KIDS FACE HDB EVICTION FOR OWING 3 MTHS RENTAL WORTH $239

My husband just got terminated from his job and now is on part-time odd job basis while going for full time job interviews. Recently, I’ve received letters from the HDB and SP services regarding my overdue bills – HDB rental owed is $170 (plus late charges) and the SP services $239. The rent each month for our rental unit is $44 and I owed HDB 3 months. I’m particularly worried about all the bill letters they sent recently because they will restrict our water supply and we also need to vacant our unit if we continue to owe them money.

HDB KICKS MAN & PREGNANT WIFE OUT OF RENTAL FLAT, NO RECOURSE GIVEN

Please see the attached eviction letter from HDB. I rented a unit from HDB, and have been paying my rental promptly, but I was kicked out by the heartless HDB due to some ridiculous unfair one-sided vague clause. I was not given any opportunity to clarify,to defend and to mediate on my case. My whole family have been kicked out, and now my toddler and my heavily pregnant wife have no place to stay.
