MORE THAN 40 PPL CHEATED BY PAYPAL SCAM

More than 40 people have been cheated by a PayPal scam which involves fake buyers sending fake emails to pretend that they have paid for the items. The emails reportedly looked legitimate as it seemed to have come from PayPal and other reputable banks. In some cases, they cheated people of fake "admin fees" to activate their PayPal accounts in order for them to receive payment. Victims of the scam did not receive a single cent. The SPF is warning everyone to always seek official verification by logging in to their PayPal accounts first, rather than opening attachments in emails or freely giving out their credit card details.

A reader shared this email reply from the Housing & Development Board with us. According to the reader, he had emailed them regarding an inquiry about his flat. When he received this reply from them, he almost flipped in his chair when he saw that they might take up to 14 working days or more than 2 weeks to give him a reply.
