LTA COMPLETES REVIEW OF ERP RATES FOR DEC 2016 SCH HOLIDAYS

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has completed its review of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates for the December 2016 school holidays. In line with the ERP rate adjustment of $1 per Passenger Car Unit (PCU), ERP rates at the following roads and expressways during the specified time periods will be reduced by $1.00 per PCU (except where the current ERP rate is $0.50 per PCU[1]).

NEW VIRTUAL CASHCARDS MAKE COLLECTING ERP FROM MOTORISTS EASIER

The government has now made it easier for them to collect ERP from motorists. A new "virtual cash card" was launched by Nets, with the help of the Land Transport Authority, will now allow motorists to pay their Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) tax even if they have no cash card in their in-vehicle units (IU) or have too little value in their cards to pay the toll. The virtual cards, known as vCashCards, will be launched on Thursday.
