HDB CEO Appointed Electoral Boundaries Committee Member, No Conflict Of Interest?

But what most does not know is that one of the committee members appointed is Housing and Development Board (HDB) CEO, Cheong Koon Hean. It can thus be safely assumed that Cheong has the ears of the government, much like the government is able to dictate to her what should be done in terms of housing. Can someone who works very closely with the government and echoes their population views be entirely independent of political bias?

So the PAP overlords have decided to redraw electorate lines, yet again. Why are we not surprised they would resort to such cheap tricks. Perhaps it's complacency in Singaporeans that this is all happening. It's like being robbed in your own house, but you don't have the guts to fight off the offender.

ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT RELEASES REPORT ON NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES

The Electoral Boundaries Review Committee has released its report on the new electoral boundaries on 24 Jul 2015. This is a clear indication that the General Elections is around the corner. Moulmein-Kallang GRC which includes Ministers Dr Yaacob Ibrahim and Mr Lui Tuck Yew, as well as MPs Denise Phua and Mr Edwin Tong has been dissolved. The dissolved GRC is now part of Holland-Bukit Timah, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Tanjong Pagar and Jalan Besar GRCs.
