ELD has yet another cock-up to answer for. A voter was unable to cast her vote as an eligible voter because the system apparently reflected that she has voted. This is a serious matter about the integrity of the electoral process.

How can the ELD say that there will be enough time for all candidates, especially the opposition, to prepare for their physical campaign strategies when the ELD does not know, and is not supposed to know when the elections will be called? Only Lee Hsien Loong decides when to call for elections. Unless the ELD is in cahoots with LHL about when the elections will be held?

Halimah Yacob has finally submitted her application for the upcoming Presidential Election. She understands the importance of the PE and said the election process has been good so far. She wants to serve the people with all her heart and hopes to get a favourable response. Are you convinced?

According to the rules by ELD (http://www.eld.gov.sg/candidate_parliamentary_campaign.html), candidates can only start campaigning after close of nomination.

I have read the news of the arrest of Teo Soh Lung, Roy Ngerng and Jason Chua by the police for breaking the Cooling Off or Polling Day rules. How did the election department know who break the Cooling-Off day rules? I thought it only applied to candidates and their parties? If they are investigating individuals who had posted political things on Cooling off day, they should also be investigating so many others. Why draw the line at Teo Soh Lung, Roy Ngerng and Jason?

The public is watching how the police handle a pro-PAP website now that a report has been made against it for violating Cooling-off Day regulations during the BB by-election. This is in view of the treatment the police meted out to Teo Soh Lung, Roy Ngerng and The Independent when the ELD filed similar reports. For now the PAP government may ignore the Constitution and act with impunity on political matters. But every time it shows contempt for the rule of law, it drives another nail into the coffin that carries public confidence in government institutions.

I would like to highlight that I am not pin pointing anyone in specific who has committed this breach. it may well be the work of an overzealous party supporter. But it is then up to the authorities such as yourself and the Singapore police force to investigate this and bring closure to the possible offences.

Seeing that the ELD only seems to make reports against online media and opposition supporters, yesterday I made a police report about possible breaches of election advertising rules by the PAP. You can see pictures of the police report as well as all accompanying evidence below. I reported two instances of potential breaches, one during the Bukit Batok by-election and one during the General Election last year. You might ask why I am reporting these breaches only now, several months after the General Election. Well, I did report them, to ELD. But they didn't do anything. It was only when I saw the news report on Friday that ELD had made police reports regarding breaches of election advertising rules that I realised I should have contacted the police instead of ELD! It seems that enforcement lies with the police, not ELD.

It appears that a complain against the pro PAP Facebook page, Fabrications About The PAP, has been lodged with the Elections Department (ELD). It was reported that Fabrications About The PAP had shared a photo which showed DPM Tharman taking the stage during the rally. The caption was "Vote Murali because he's working for you. Not because you are part of a political journey." The post was made on Polling Day. According to ELD, posting election advertising on Cooling-Off Day and Polling Day is prohibited, as this campaign silence period is meant to give voters time to reflect rationally on issues raised before going to the polls.

I read your article by Mr Tan saying that by hanging the PAP flag before the elections, the PAP is in breach of the Parliamentary Elections Act. I want to point out that this is not a new issue being raised by and the ELD had previously responded to the issue.
