Watch this video that I extracted from my car video... If accident really happens, I would be eye witness to say that no driver or biker is at fault, just watch for yourself... Sooner or later this type of young chap may pay a price for his foolish actions, & what's more unfortunate is cause trouble to a driver or biker whom bump this fella down...

As part of our regular enforcement, LTA conducts periodic enforcement operations against the reckless riding of personal mobility devices (PMDs) on roads and on footpaths. During one of our operations this month, our Active Mobility Enforcement Officers (AMEOs) stopped a PMD user who had been riding his e-scooter along Mandai Road, endangering both himself and other road users. His e-scooter has since been impounded.

Since May 2016, we have carried out over 560 enforcement deployments across Singapore, issuing more than 860 advisories to cyclists, power-assisted bicycles (PAB) and personal mobility device (PMD) users. To date, we have seized a total of 20 e-scooters whose riders were caught riding on the road, and issued more than 1,400 notices to users of non-compliant PABs.

I would like to share this to seek the mutual understanding between E-bikers, cyclists and other road users, especially heavy vehicles. Firstly, why are we riding such bicycles or scooters on the roads is because we need it to commute. Not everyone is fortunate enough to afford a bus ride. I think that more understand is needed from these road users, if we aren't fortunate enough to afford a simple and cheapest bus ride, let alone having a car.

I want to raise awareness to all road users regarding such road accidents. As we know, there are many e-bikes on the roads now and people are now buying e-bikes and these riders are too reckless, often cutting through path on other big and heavy vehicles

R.I.P e-scooter/bike riders/cyclist, if you all don't value your lives. continue to think the road belongs to you. 2 e-bikers dead. bodies mangled.

In every community there are bound to have black sheep, we have people who drive sports car (sometime even normal car) beating the traffic lights and cause accident like banging into divider, lorry drove all the way up to the pedestrian path, SBS bus drove all the way into the interchange and killed passengers, motorist beating the traffic and got into serious accident . But are we going to ban all these from the road?

It is time to ban E-Scooter. These are dangerous today and will be even more dangerous in the years to come when technology improves. Most of the riders today are quite irresponsible and lately the 70 kph demonstrated the point. They do not have any insurance. They do not know the highway code of being on the road meant for licensed users. Let us not be politically correct about this. Let us nip this problem at the bud before it really gets out of hand.

An e-Scooter user Ethan Tai was stopped by LTA officers for failing to dismount and push his e-scooter across the zebra crossing. Due to the offence, his e-scooter was towed away which upset the rider. He took to social media asking if there was no law in Singapore and made a police report against the LTA officers for illegally towing away his e-scooter.

This is a video of reckless e scooters riding down at least 80km/h and this is very reckless, LTA have to take actions against errant riders like this who makes the scooting community have a bad name, LTA needs to enforce on stricter penalties such as ambushing them with a net or confiscate such reckless electric scooters.
