POLICE ARRESTED MAN SUSPECTED OF DRINK DRIVING AND CRASHING AT BRADDELL ROAD

A man was arrested for suspected drink driving after crashing his car into a tree along Braddell Road on Sep 27 at around 11.25pm. In a video of what happened that was widely circulated online, the car can first be seen travelling on the first lane of the three-lane road.

The driver then mounted the kerb and crashed into a tree at a relatively high speed. The car's bonnet was severely damaged and debris was strewn across the road. The accident actually also involved another car as well as a taxi.

MAN PUNCHED OWN SISTER IN DRUNKEN RAGE AND VERBALLY ABUSED FATHER GETS JAIL

A man who punched his own sister and verbally abused his own father and police officers while drunk has been sentenced to 18 months and 2 weeks jail.

The unemployed man, Tan Hiang Hock, 46, committed the series of offences in April and May when he was drunk.

DRUNK LORRY DRIVER CAUSED ACCIDENT, NO OTHER VEHICLES INVOLVED

It was understood that the driver was driving along the road when he lost control of the vehicle and collided into the centre guard rail located near the exit.

Photos of the accident showed the yellow lorry sitting diagonally across the second lane of the road, with its front badly damaged and windows smashed. SCDF said the man suffered abrasions and lacerations, but refused to be taken to hospital.

DRUNK WOMAN SCRATCHED CABBY FOR NO REASON, JAILED 4 WEEKS

Lina Ivy Pah, 30, was alleged to have scratched cabby Mr Yung Kok Keong, 52, causing multiple abrasions over his upper eyelid, forehead and cheeks. Mr Yung had picked up Pah and her mother at 4:45am from Geylang. Pah had been drinking beer since around midnight.

61 YEAR OLD MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER BEING HIT BY DRUNK LORRY DRIVER

A drunk 26 year old man crashed his lorry into a car along Guillemard Road early on Monday morning, causing a 61 year old man, who was the driver of the car, to be taken to hospital.

Reports showed a lorry beside a black car, which had mounted the kerb. Police confirmed that they were alerted to the accident at about 4:06am at the junction of Guillemard Road and Guillemard Crescent.The 61 year old man was taken conscious to the hospital, although his injuries were not reported.
