The United Nations (UN) Human Rights Office for South East Asia has strongly condemned the hanging of Singaporean drug convict Muhammad Ridzuan Bin Md Ali and demands Singapore instate a moratorium on the death penalty to work towards abolishing its use completely.

A 28 year old man was arrested at Yishun Blk 129 for possessing an offensive weapon and having other drug related offences. The police first received a call for help at Yishun St 11 on the night of 21 May. They then arrested the suspect and sent another 30 year old male subject to Khoo Teck Puat hospital. The commotion attracted many onlookers in the area as the man was handcuffed and escorted by 2 policemen. The police are still investigating.

Following the rejection of a clemency application for Muhammad Ridzuan Ali, who is due to hang tomorrow, anti-death penalty activists have submitted a petition to President Tony Tan to request a stay of execution for the convicted drug courier.

Muhammad Ridzuan bin Md Ali's ("Ridzuan") petition to the President for clemency has been rejected and he is scheduled to be executed this Friday. Ridzuan was convicted with one Abdul Haleem for jointly trafficking in heroin. Both Ridzuan and Abdul Haleem were found to be mere couriers under section 33B of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

13 foreigners, 10 men and 3 women, have been arrested yesterday for alleged vice activities in a forested area in Kaki Bukit. Twitter user Purgat0ry__ shared a video of Singapore Police Force confronting a man who was reportedly high on drugs and wielding a knife looking to slash innocent people in Woodlands. From the footage, the police officers eventually tasered the culprit and subdued him. Eyewitness say after police searched the man, they found drugs on his person. Lucky this incident did not happen in nearby Yishun or rabak sial.
