I'm a single gay in my early 20s, I've always wanted to own a home as I don't get along with my family members and have been renting rooms to live. HDB allows only singles who are at least 35 to buy a HDB. I did a calculation, If I spend roughly $10000 a year renting until I'm 35, I would have spent at least 120K on renting, which is enough to buy me 1/2 of a HDB or 1/3 of a HDB flat. I did jobs help here and there and managed to save up a home fund of about 100K. Which is enough for a HDB down payment. Yet I'm homeless. I feel like crying. They really discriminate singles and gays.

Over the same period, about 300 single unwed parents under the age of 35 appealed to rent a flat from HDB with their children. For both types of appeals, HDB approved about one-fifth of the cases.

MAN ALLEGED NEPHEW FACED DISCRIMINATION @ SCHOOL CANTEEN MALAY STALL, FRIEND PAYS LESS FOR FOOD

In a facebook status posted by netizen Gordon Tay, he alleged that his 7 year old nephew shared his experience with discrimination faced in the unnamed school canteen. According to Tay, his nephew bought the same food as his friend Ahmad but on several occasions, he had to pay more than what Ahmad paid at the Malay stall. After his negative unfair experience buying food from the stall, he now feels cheated buying from that particular stall and has decided to no longer eat from that stall.
