Reports indicated the deceased as Yeoh Yoke Khing, 37, who was heading into Singapore for work when the accident happened. His motorbike hit the rear tyre of a bus which was in the midst of doing a U-turn, and the victim died at the scene due to severe injuries caused by the collision.

CAT SOILED MAN’S MATTRESS, MAN SLAMMED CAT TO GROUND KILLING IT

A 58-year-old man was sentenced to a jail term of eight weeks for causing a cat to suffer serious head and lung injuries, resulting in its death. In a press release, the AVA said that they were alerted to an alleged animal cruelty case at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 on Mar 14 this year. Ow had admitted to throwing a stray cat on the floor before throwing it down a rubbish cute from his residence.

A Singaporean man has died of his injuries sustained in a worksite incident at Kranji Loop on Sunday. According to reports, the man, who was a subcontractor from James Contractor, was working at a SP Group worksite, and was injured while carrying out cable jointing works.

MAN TRAPPED IN CABLE DRUM ATOP A CRANE AT PSA TERMINAL DIED

A tragedy occurred at PSA Keppel Terminal on Wednesday morning when a 33 year old man died, trapped on a cable drum on top of a crane. SCDF was alerted to the rescue incident at about 10:20 am, and they found the man trapped there. A cable drum is a round,cylindrical object used to carry wound up wires and cables.

MAN DIED WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON

It was believed he ran into trouble before 10 am, where he was competing in the standard distance relay event, where a trio would each take part in a part of the race. He was in the 1.5 km swim part of the race, where he was pulled out of the waters to shore, with emergency medical personnel administered CPR on him. He was later evacuated to SGH, where he sadly died.

SINGAPORE DOCTOR DIED DIVING IN BALI

While diving to about 20m, Dr Wong signalled to her guide that she needed to resurface. The guide followed her up. When the pair reached the surface, Dr Wong had lost consciousness. The guide, together with the other two divers, then used a speed boat to transfer Dr Wong back to land and subsequently to the Penta Medica Clinic, where she was subsequently pronounced dead on arrival by local doctors. The cause of death have not been revealed.

SINGAPORE MAN DIED FIVE DAYS AFTER HE WAS HIT BY CAR IN JB

Justinian Tan was in JB with five of his friends for late night dinner on Friday, and was heading for their car at Jalan Dato Abdullah Tahir at Taman Abad around 3.00 am, when a Malaysian registered car hot him and another friend from behind. According to the other friends, the authorities there took a long time to render aid, with the ambulance only arriving 20 minutes after the accident happened. Justinian required emergency surgery upon arriving at the Johor hospital, but the hospital allegedly did not have the complete tools to complete the procedure.
