Fast forward to GE 2020 week. Mr Desmond Lee who was campaigning in West Coast GRC, came to visit my home to win votes. I explained the critical issues in my HDB and I could not even have a proper conversation with him for 5mins and his assistant had to take over to record my issue while he just walked away to visit other residents. Shows how much he is willing to listen to you. He made promises to contact me within days. As of 5 September 2020, neither HDB nor the MP have responded. Thank you to the useless residents of West Coast GRC for voting for a party who only show face once every 5 years.

Residents who face quality issues may report them to the Building Service Centre managed by the developer during the 1-year warranty period. If the developer fails to address them, the buyers will have legal recourse against the developer as provided under the Sales and Purchase Agreement, Mr Lee said. Responding to questions from opposition leader Low Thia Khiang on HDB’s role in the DBSS projects, Mr Lee said the HDB provides the broad parameters such as the mix of flat sizes and the range of facilities, within which the private developers are given the flexibility to build and sell flats. PAP MP DESMOND LEE: WORKERS PARTY USED S&CC FROM ALJUNIED RESIDENTS TO COVER LOSSES IN HOUGANG

Minister of State for National Development Desmond Lee has said he is taken aback with Workers' Party chief Low Thia Khiang's remarks to the media that residents of his Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council need not worry about its poor performance in service and conservancy charges (S&CC) arrears management and corporate governance. The Workers' Party-managed town council (TC) was the only one out of 16 which was banded "red" in the recently released Town Council Management Report.
