COVID19: Singapore Currently Facing Oversupply of Eggs

When Malaysia announced its lockdown in March, Singaporeans rushed to supermarkets to stock up on eggs and shelves were empty in no time. Prices of eggs started to increase slightly due to border restrictions. Fast forward 3 months, Malaysia is out of lockdown and has resumed their supply. Eggs are flowing into Singapore from Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and recently Poland. At the same time, demand from F&B dropped. As a result, egg suppliers find themselves having too many eggs, some having to discard as many as 250k eggs.

A middle-aged woman created a ruckus on bus 197 as she wailed and demanded money from other passengers. She claimed she needed money to buy medicine, eat, and take bus home. She was dressed normally but seemed to be in need of psychiatric help.

GEYLANG SHOPKEEPERS ACCUSE OLD MAN OF STEALING TISSUE, DEMAND $200 AS "PUNISHMENT"

A 80 year old cardboard-collecting man was bullied by 2 shopkeepers who accused him of stealing tissue paper and demanded that he pay $200 as punishment. Police had to intervene in the matter, which was finally resolved after the old man offered to pay $1.90 for the cost of the tissue.

NUS DEMANDS EX-STUDENT TO REMOVE BLOG POST OR FACE LEGAL ACTION

NUS has demanded ex-student Jeanne Ten to remove her blog post which crowdfunded for legal fees against the university. It warned her that it will enforce its legal rights against her if she did not take the posts down. This comes a little too late as she has already reached her goal of $5000. Jeanne thanked donors for their contributions and said: "I will not give up the fight. Please continue to support me".

My mother almost got scammed when she picked up a called from this number. man on the other side said that they have me and demanded $30,000 for my safe return. mother said that she could hear my voice in the background screaming "mummy 救我!他们在打我" (mummy save me! they are beating me!)
