It was suggested that the collapse happened because there could have been an error in the design, or the structures were not constructed to design specifications. If despite stringent checks and counter checks done to ensure this does not occur, but yet it still did, then questions would have to be asked of the structural engineers who did the checks. MALAYSIAN PRIME DRIVER JAILED FOR FATAL ACCIDENT

A Malaysian prime mover driver was sentenced to six weeks in jail and disqualified from from driving in Singapore for five years for negligent driving which resulted in a fatal road accident. Chan Joo Kiang, 33, was driving on the right lane of the two-lane Gul Way near Tuas towards Pioneer Road at around 11.50am on May 7 last year when he spotted another prime mover travelling in the opposite direction. He failed to notice a motorcyclist, Wallace Sabing, 42, travelling straight on the road, of which he had the right of way, causing the motorcyclist to collide into the left centre portion of Chan's trailer. Mr Sabing was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital where he died of multiple injuries about five hours later. A medical report revealed that he injured his brain and fractured his neck in the accident.

It is such a shame that the illustrious name of Lee Kuan Yew is being dragged through the mud because of the actions of his unfilial children Lee Hsien Yang, Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hsien Loong. Hsien Yang and Wei Ling for publicly washing their private disagreements in the open and causing distress to Singaporeans and Hsien Loong for not doing enough to reach an amicable decision with his siblings. All three are self-entitled pricks who are too proud to give way to one another, typical spoilt brats from a well-to-do family.

CYCLIST DIED AFTER ACCIDENT WITH BUS IN WOODLANDS

A cyclist was killed on Thursday in an accident with a bus. Police reported that they were alerted to the incident at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 9 and Woodlands Avenue 10 at about 6:20 am today. Paramedics pronounced the 44 year old man dead on the scene. No further details of the accident were released. Police reports are currently still ongoing.

WOMAN HIT BY BUS IN CHOA CHU KANG DIED ON SATURDAY MORNING

The woman who was hit by a bus along Choa Chu Kang Drive last Wednesday had succumbed to her injuries on Saturday morning. The woman was identified as Wai Lai Leng, 49, a laboratory assistant. She was reportedly attempting to cross the road towards the Yew Tee MRT Station on her way to work when the bus hit her. She was taken to the Ng Teng Fong hospital for emergency surgery and was warded in the ICU, but she remained unresponsive until she passed away. The family had not heard from the driver of the yellow coloured bus. Photos shared by netizens showed that the windscreen of the bus was cracked.

MOTORCYCLIST DIED IN ACCIDENT WITH TIPPER TRUCK

An accident at Pasir Panjang Road early this Monday morning, involving a tipper truck and a motorcycle has resulted in one death. A police statement indicated that the accident happened early this morning at about 5:45 am at Habour Drive heading towards Pasir Panjang Drive. A 30 year old man, reportedly the rider of the motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police investigations are still ongoing. No other details of the accident have been released by the police.

CAR PASSENGER OPENED DOOR ON THE ROAD, CAUSED DEATH OF MOTORCYCLIST

I read with sadness and anger at the news that a motorcyclist died after he collided with an open door of a car. The motorcyclist died on Wednesday night after crashing into a car door, which a passenger opened without warning. The accident happened at at about 9.30pm along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 towards Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 on Wednesday night. What possessed the passenger to open the car door suddenly? In fact, the passenger had even opened the car door twice!
